This league is open to Margaretta girls in grades 6-8 ONLY (Girls from other schools are ineligible to play on this team, per league rules). We hope to have at least 1 team and an approx. maximum of 12 players per team, with a wait list once teams are full (we will consider adding additional team(s) if interest is strong enough. This league will play double headers on Sundays for 5 weeks starting in April and playing until mid May. Game times will vary from 10am, noon, 2pm, and 4pm. Please note that this spring softball league is separate from summer softball. This is strictly a way for your child to get more softball time. The Spring season is designed to be completed before summer games begin. Season game dates are expected to be April 12th, April 19th, April 26th, May 3rd, and May 10th. A championship game is expected to be played on May 17th if team(s) qualify. All makeup games will be made up during the week.

Players are expected to receive a team shirt, team Hoodie, and a pair of matching socks as part of registration fees.

Our summer baseball program is open to boys 7-14 years old. We are divided into 4 separate divisions

Rookie- 8 and under (we will travel to Edison, Danbury, and Port Clinton this year)

Minor- 10 and under*

Major- 12 and under*

Junior- 14 and under* (Freshman boys playing for the school baseball team may not be able to participate, a league waiver is needed for them)

*We anticipate that each division will participate in the Firelands Interleague Baseball (FIB) league from approx. the last week of April until approx. the first week of July with teams from Port Clinton, Danbury, St Mary's, Perkins, Huron, Edison, Norwalk, Sandusky, Willard and Western Reserve. This is still being finalized.

Age is determined as of May 1 of 2026.

Anyone signing up after March 1st will be subject to a $25 late fee. Anyone requesting to be moved up a division or placed on a specific team (unless a sibling) will be subject to an additional $15 admin fee upon approval of such request by the rec board.

Summer Coach Pitch is open to youth boys and girls ages 4 -6 until they become eligible to play at the next age level. All teams will play in our in house Castalia Rec league that plays games on Saturdays mornings in early May through late June (some games may also be scheduled during the week as field availability dictates) . Teams will play approximately 6 games and will NOT travel to neighboring communities. This league is for area residents, however residing in or attending Margaretta School District is not required.
